Why should I take this questionnaire?
Research has shown us that there are over 50 types of breast cancer. Progress CONNECT is an online tool designed by Breast Cancer Canada to provide patients with information specific to their type. Patients work through a series of questions requiring their pathology results. The information shared generates a personalized report outlining their type of breast cancer and potential treatment options that may be appropriate based on the stage and biomarkers status. The goal is to help patients have thoughtful discussions with their treating oncologist by providing evidence-based information relevant to their stage and biomarkers.
Impact
Breast Cancer Canada is set to empower patients to be better informed about their pathology and treatment pathway for meaningful discussions with their cancer multi-disciplinary team of clinicians. Each person is different — and each breast cancer diagnosis is too. That’s why Breast Cancer Canada is providing streamlined, personalized information to patients. Once an individual receives their pathology report, they can input their breast cancer details into Progress CONNECT. Instantaneously, they will receive a PDF that is built for them providing their customized breast cancer profile or “type”. Progress CONNECT will equip Canadian breast cancer patients with validated treatment knowledge from credible sources, specific to their stage and biomarker “type” of breast cancer, including the end-to-end sequence and timing of treatment plans.
