Advancing Progress in Survivorship
Breast Cancer Canada, in partnership with AstraZeneca Canada, is now accepting applications for two matched research awards focused on improving breast cancer survivorship care across Canada.
This funding supports innovative, Canadian-led research that addresses critical gaps following primary treatment, with an emphasis on real-world impact and improved patient outcomes.
Priority Areas
We are seeking proposals focused on:
- Survivorship surveillance and diagnostics
- Therapeutic interventions in post-treatment care
- New care delivery models that improve transitions between community and specialty services
Funding Details
- 2 awards of $100,000 CAD each
- Research must be conducted in Canada
- No institutional overhead permitted

Breast Cancer Canada + McPeak-Sirois Group
2026 Canadian Breast Cancer Innovative Investigator-Initiated Clinical Trials Championship
Breast Cancer Canada, in partnership with the McPeak-Sirois Group, is now accepting self-nominations for the 2026 Canadian Breast Cancer Innovative Investigator-Initiated Clinical Trials Championship.
This national initiative recognizes innovative investigator-initiated clinical breast cancer research and celebrates the teams advancing progress in patient care and clinical research. Full details available in the nomination form.
Priority Areas
We are seeking self-nominations from those with demonstrated excellence in:
- Clinical innovation in breast cancer care
- Patient-centred trial design and engagement
- Equitable access, including participation from underserved or rural populations
Funding Details
1 award of $10,000 CAD: The winning investigator and associated research institute may choose one of two funding formats:
- Full Scholarship: Support to send a designated research coordinator or nurse to a major scientific meeting such as ASCO, ESMO, or SABCS.
- Institutional Grant: direct award to the research centre or institution to support professional development, workflow efficiency, and clinical research capacity.
